What is the J.D. Power 2019 US Aftermarket Service Index (ASI) Study?

J.D. Power is an American-based global marketing information services company that conducts surveys of customer satisfaction, product quality, and buyer behavior for multiple industries. In the 2019 Aftermarket Service Index (ASI) Study, the company surveyed over 12,500 vehicle owners, and asked them to rate aftermarket service facilities in the following categories:

  • Fairness of Charges
  • Service Quality
  • Service Advisor
  • Service Facility
  • Service Initiation
  • Vehicle Pick-Up

The ASI Results:

Out of a possible 1,000 points, Christian Brothers Automotive received the top overall satisfaction score at 823*, 94 points above the competitor average in the same segment. Additionally, Christian Brothers Automotive took the highest scores for both the Service Facility and Service Advisor categories, a nod to their clean, comfortable, up-to-date shops, and highly-skilled and friendly Service Advisors.

Chris Sutton, Vice President of J.D. Power’s Automotive Retail Practice analyzed the results of the survey, commenting that “Customers cite a strong connection with Christian Brothers’ personnel and facility offerings.” He continued, “In addition to respect for customers’ time and the ability to perform quality work, Christian Brothers is clearly differentiating themselves with an outstanding customer experience.”
