What To Expect When You Visit Our Shop
Knowing what will happen during your visit can make bringing your vehicle in for AC work feel much more comfortable. From the moment you arrive at our New Braunfels location, our team greets you, confirms your contact information, and reviews the AC symptoms you have noticed. We then explain the steps of our evaluation so you understand how long we expect the initial diagnosis to take and when you will hear back from us.
While your vehicle is in the bay, you are welcome to relax in our clean, comfortable lobby or arrange a ride so you can continue your day. Once we complete our inspection, we review photos, test results, and recommendations with you in person or by phone, depending on what works best for your schedule. If we determine that your vehicle needs more extensive work, such as a car AC replacement, we explain how many days we may need the vehicle and coordinate timing that fits your calendar.

When the repairs are finished, we go over the final invoice, answer any questions you have about the work performed, and remind you of the warranty coverage that comes with eligible AC services. Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a car AC diagnosis usually take?
Most AC diagnostics can be completed the same day, depending on how complex the issue is and how busy the shop is when you arrive. Simple problems may be identified quickly, while systems with multiple leaks or electrical concerns can take longer to test. You will receive an estimated timeline when you check in so you know what to expect.
How do I know if I need AC repair or full replacement?
Signs that you may be close to a full replacement include repeated refrigerant leaks, loud compressor noises, or multiple major components failing at the same time. A one-time issue, such as a single leaking hose or a worn belt, can often be addressed with targeted repair instead. An inspection is the best way to determine which option is appropriate for your vehicle.
Can I drive my car if the AC is not working?
You can usually drive a vehicle with a non-functioning AC system, but doing so may be uncomfortable and could make it harder to stay focused in hot weather. In rare cases, if the AC problem is linked to a shared belt or electrical circuit, it may affect other systems. If you notice unusual smells, noises, or smoke along with AC failure, it is safest to have the vehicle checked before driving further.
Will AC repairs affect my vehicle warranty?
AC repairs should be performed according to manufacturer guidelines so they do not conflict with any remaining factory coverage. If your vehicle is still under warranty, let the service advisor know so the repair plan can take that into account. You can also review your warranty booklet or contact the manufacturer for specific coverage details.
