2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.

What Your Check Engine Light Is Telling You
Not all check engine lights carry the same urgency. Knowing the difference can help you decide how quickly to act.
Solid Light
A steady check engine light means the onboard diagnostic system has logged a fault code. It’s typically not an immediate emergency, but you shouldn’t leave it unaddressed. Schedule a diagnosis soon. Before you do, check that your gas cap is fully tightened. A loose cap is a common trigger, and tightening it may extinguish the light if that was the only fault.
Flashing or Blinking Light
A flashing check engine light signals an active engine misfire. The engine control module detects unburned fuel passing into the exhaust, which can rapidly damage the catalytic converter, an expensive component to replace. Minimize driving and have the vehicle diagnosed as soon as possible.
Common Causes of a Check Engine Light

Oxygen Sensors
Oxygen sensors monitor exhaust gases and report to the engine control module. A failing sensor reduces fuel efficiency and, if left unaddressed, accelerates catalytic converter wear.
Catalytic Converter
Catalytic converter failure is one of the costlier check engine light diagnoses, and it often follows an unresolved oxygen sensor fault. Catching the upstream problem early can help prevent the larger expense.
Spark Plugs & Ignition Coils
Worn spark plugs or a failing ignition coil cause misfires that the engine control module detects and reports. Symptoms often include rough idling or hesitation on acceleration.
Mass Airflow Sensor
A dirty or failing mass airflow sensor disrupts the air-fuel mixture. Drivers often notice rough idling or sluggish acceleration alongside the warning light.
Emissions System Faults
EVAP system leaks and other emissions faults are common triggers, and in Texas they can cause a vehicle to fail an emissions inspection. The longer they go unaddressed, the greater the chance of wear spreading to connected systems.
