Old Shawnee Days Celebrates 50 Years
| By: Christian Brothers Automotive
Throughout the sun-filled weekend, there were carnival rides, baking contest, kids’ games, concerts, food booths and a parade. The Christian Brothers Automotive of Shawnee shuttle appeared in the parade again this year. Owners, Scott and Tammie Green enjoyed waving to many customers and friends along the parade route. Our hometown Fox4 Weatherman, Mike Thompson announced the floats and shared a few fun facts, such as, Christian Brothers Automotive technicians work on all makes and models of vehicles.
The staff from the Shawnee Christian Brothers Automotive volunteered at the Old Shawnee Days church service. Many city officials were there, as well as members from both New City Church and CrossPoints Church. In response to overhearing several people say that this was their first time in church, Service Manager, Nikki McVety said “it’s great to see people exposed to the Lord in a new way.”
We really enjoyed the parade and celebrations, and are proud to be part of the Shawnee community.
