What to Expect With a Tune-Up
Our process keeps you informed and in control from the first call to the final approval.
Step 1: Schedule
Book online or by phone and describe what you’re experiencing. Giving us that context lets us prepare before your vehicle arrives.
Step 2: Diagnostics & Inspections
Drop off your vehicle, and our technicians get to work. We use manufacturer-equivalent equipment to inspect and diagnose accurately.
Step 3: Digital Vehicle Inspection Report & Estimate
You receive a text with your DVI report, including photos and videos of our findings and any recommendations. No surprises, no verbal-only explanations.
Step 4: Review & Approval
A service advisor walks you through the findings. You approve or deny any recommended work via the DVI or by phone. Your call, each time.
Step 5: Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work is completed the same visit. If parts or scheduling require a return, we can set that up around your availability.
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Henry Ford coined the term “tune-up” while developing his initial automobile prototype, according to Christian Brothers Automotive.
What Does Scheduled Maintenance Include?
Reliable Maintenance Service
A tune up at Christian Brothers Automotive Mission Bend covers a complete analysis of seven component areas: spark plugs, brakes, oil and other fluids, lights, tires, filters, and emissions. For each area, we inspect the current condition and recommend any replacements or repairs that are warranted.
Spark plugs ignite the air-fuel mixture in your engine. When they wear down, fuel efficiency can drop and misfires can become more common. Filters, including air, fuel, and cabin filters, keep contaminants out of engine and cabin systems, and a clogged filter can put unnecessary stress on your engine over time. Checking emissions as part of a tune up also supports compliance with Texas vehicle inspection requirements.
Catching small issues early through routine maintenance is often less costly than addressing the failures those issues can cause. You have final say on every recommendation, and nothing is done to your vehicle without your explicit approval.
