3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
When you bring your vehicle to Christian Brothers Automotive Georgetown, our Digital Vehicle Inspection documents what our technicians actually find, with photos sent directly to your smartphone. You see the findings, ask questions, and decide what work to approve before anything moves forward.
Every service is then backed by the Nice Difference® Warranty: 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs last, honored at any Christian Brothers Automotive location nationwide, giving you confidence whether you’re driving around Georgetown or across the country.
How to Know When Your Vehicle Needs a Tune-Up
Your car can often tell you before the mileage does. Rough idling, difficulty starting, a noticeable drop in fuel efficiency, reduced power under acceleration, or an illuminated check engine light are all common signals that your manufacturer’s scheduled service is overdue. If you can’t recall your last tune-up, that’s reason enough to schedule one. Small issues like worn spark plugs or clogged filters don’t stay small when left unaddressed.
Preventive maintenance is often less expensive than deferred repair. Catching a failing component during a scheduled tune-up can cost less than the compounding damage that may follow if it’s ignored.

Every vehicle manufacturer defines what a properly maintained vehicle looks like. That definition lives in the owner’s manual as a maintenance schedule, and a tune-up is how you keep that schedule current. Our ASE-certified technicians use it as the reference for every vehicle they service, working across all makes and models with manufacturer-quality equipment. Intervals aren’t fixed across all vehicles. Modern engines may run significantly longer between certain services, like spark plug replacement, than older designs. The correct reference is your vehicle’s specific schedule, not a general mileage rule. Following that schedule also supports manufacturer warranty compliance and can help maintain resale value over time.
Tune-Ups vs. Scheduled Maintenance: What’s the Difference?
These two terms are often used interchangeably, but they describe different scopes. Scheduled maintenance is the full preventive program your manufacturer defines: all recommended services across all systems at defined intervals. A tune-up is a component of that program, focused on the performance-critical parts inspected and serviced at those intervals, including spark plugs, filters, and the other categories listed above.
Understanding the distinction helps when you’re talking with a service advisor about what your vehicle actually needs. If your scheduled maintenance is current but a specific component is showing wear, you may need a targeted service rather than a full tune-up. Our team can tell you exactly what applies to your vehicle so you’re never paying for work that isn’t necessary.
