How Your Tune-Up Visit Works
We compare our inspection findings with your manufacturer’s maintenance requirements instead of applying the same checklist to every vehicle. You decide which recommended services we perform.
Your visit follows five clear stages:
- Schedule your appointment: Tell us about current symptoms, maintenance questions, or services listed in your manufacturer service schedule.
- Assess the vehicle: Our technicians use manufacturer-quality equipment to inspect systems related to your symptoms and determine whether diagnostic testing is appropriate.
- Review the Digital Vehicle Inspection: You receive a report with photos and videos documenting our findings and recommendations.
- Approve the work: Our technician or service advisor explains the findings in understandable terms. We won’t perform additional work until you decide what to approve.
- Complete or schedule service: We can complete most approved work during the visit or schedule it based on parts and your availability.
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.

What Vehicle-Specific Tune-Ups May Include
Modern Tune-Ups vary because maintenance requirements differ by manufacturer, engine, mileage, and service history. One vehicle may need spark plugs or filters, while another may be due for broader scheduled maintenance or need diagnostic attention for a drivability concern.
Depending on the vehicle, our assessment may address:
- Spark plugs and filters listed in the manufacturer service schedule.
- Oil and other fluids that are due for inspection or service.
- Brakes, lights, and tires as applicable to the vehicle’s maintenance needs.
- Emissions and engine performance when symptoms or inspection findings indicate that further evaluation may be appropriate.
Hard starting, hesitation, rough idling, reduced power, increased fuel use, and warning lights can have multiple causes. We use your vehicle information and inspection findings to explain whether you should consider scheduled maintenance, further testing, or a specific repair.
