How Our AC Service Process Works
Getting your car's AC system diagnosed and repaired at Christian Brothers Automotive South Tomball is straightforward. You're in control at every step, and nothing moves forward without your approval.
- Schedule: Book online or call us, whichever is easier for you.
- Diagnose: After drop-off, our ASE-certified technicians perform a full diagnostic using manufacturer-equivalent equipment and send you a Digital Vehicle Inspection report with photos and videos of their findings.
- Approve & Repair: A service advisor reviews the results with you. You approve or decline any recommendations directly through the Digital Vehicle Inspection or by phone. Most AC work can be completed the same visit. If parts or scheduling require a follow-up, we can arrange that around your availability.

common Vehicle AC Problems
Common AC Problems We Diagnose & Repair in Tomball
Houston-area heat puts sustained demand on every part of your climate control system. If your car AC isn't performing the way it should, these are the symptoms worth paying attention to:
- Warm or hot air from vents even when the system is set to maximum cooling
- Weak airflow at the highest fan setting
- Unusual or musty odors when the AC is running
- Visible fluid or oily residue under the vehicle
- AC that cuts out at idle but works while driving
Our technicians address clogged or leaking condensers, refrigerant cross-contamination, damaged compressors, broken belts, system leaks, clutch problems, and unresponsive pressure switches. If refrigerant levels are low, we recharge the system with the appropriate amount. We also replace broken condensers, leaking tubes, and dirty air filters as part of AC repair. These services are available for all makes and models.
How Your Vehicle's AC System Works
A car AC system depends on several components working together. The compressor pressurizes the refrigerant; the condenser releases heat to the outside air; the evaporator absorbs heat from inside the cabin; the expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow; and the blower motor pushes cooled air through your vents. When one part fails, a refrigerant leak at the condenser, for example, or a seized compressor, the entire system can lose cooling capacity.
That's why a full diagnostic matters more than replacing the most obvious component. Vehicles with electronic climate control systems add sensors and actuators to this equation, which may also require scanning when the system behaves erratically despite adequate refrigerant levels.
