How Our AC Service Process Works
From the moment you schedule to the moment you approve the work, every step is designed to keep you informed. We run diagnostics using the same equipment manufacturers use, document findings with photos through our Digital Vehicle Inspection, and send that report to your phone before anything is touched. Most car AC repair work can be completed the same day, depending on parts availability and your schedule.
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.

Common AC Problems We Diagnose & Fix
Lexington’s heat and humidity put real stress on vehicle cooling systems. Our technicians use modern diagnostic technologies to find the root cause, not just treat the surface symptom. Here are the AC issues we handle regularly:
- Low or leaking refrigerant: Low refrigerant often signals a system leak that needs diagnosis before a recharge can hold
- Compressor damage: A failed or failing AC compressor can cause warm air output and unusual noises when the system runs
- Clogged or leaking condenser: Debris and road damage can restrict airflow or cause refrigerant loss through condenser leaks
- Broken belts and clutch problems: Drive belt wear and clutch failure prevent the compressor from engaging properly
- Unresponsive pressure switches: Faulty pressure switches can shut down the AC system unexpectedly
- Cabin air filter replacement: A dirty or clogged cabin air filter reduces airflow and can contribute to musty odors from the vents
We recharge refrigerant systems, replace broken condensers, repair leaking tubes, replace worn belts, and swap out dirty air filters, all backed by the Nice Difference Warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles. Call (803) 302-4351 or schedule your car AC repair in Lexington online today.
Warning Signs Your AC Needs Attention
Catching AC trouble early can help prevent a minor fix from turning into a costly repair. In South Carolina’s summer climate, a refrigerant leak left unaddressed can eventually damage the compressor, turning a straightforward service call into a much larger job.
Watch for these signs that your vehicle’s AC needs service:
- Air that blows warm or cools less effectively than before
- Weak airflow from the vents even at full fan speed
- Foul or musty odor when the AC runs
- Loud or unusual noises when the AC is turned on
- Visible moisture or wet spots near the dash or floor
In Lexington, SC, a failing AC system affects more than comfort. It can affect your focus on the road. The same season that strains your AC also puts extra load on belts, hoses, and battery connections, making a pre-summer inspection a smart step. If you’re noticing any of these symptoms, bring your vehicle in and let our ASE-certified technicians take a look.
