“As a business consultant specializing in restaurant hospitality, I continue to be very impressed with the level of detail Christian Brothers puts into every auto repair event. Their pleasant greeting upon arrival, complimentary bottled water or coffee, immaculate restroom, comfortable waiting spaces, and clean, roomy, free shuttle service all bespeak of their commitment to providing a premium car care experience for each guest.
Premium restaurants and Christian Brothers are not entirely dissimilar. Both fully understand that it's all the little things you do outside of your main offering that help endear a customer to you. Premium restaurants have top-notch talented chefs, highly trained waitstaffs, and attention to detail in all associated accouterments. Christian Brothers has high-level ASE-certified mechanics, courteous, professional, highly trained office staffs, and an unmatched commitment to providing guests with creature comforts very rarely exhibited at auto repair shops.
In my latest visit, the office staff worked tirelessly to rundown the exact part my vehicle needed. Whereas a regular mechanic would've found a part that worked and met the specs, Christian Brothers digs for the exact replacement part like the one installed when it was originally built.
And this was a critical component. It wasn't an overnight or even 1-2 day operation. They took the time to dig through every reputable supplier available to them and inquire about that very specific unit. No substitute would do for the level of excellence demanded by Christian Brothers.
And that's part of how they can offer their industry-best "whichever one comes LAST" warranty. Even actual auto manufacturers don't offer such a thing.
In my restaurant consulting practice, I have clients across the economic strata. Some are higher-end, high-emphasis-on-high-value clients while most are more focused on making the best economic decision while providing an above average dining experience. Both want to offer more and more value to their patrons.
When I mention to restaurant owners that I take my car to Christian Brothers, I get almost no reaction from the higher end clients, except maybe "Which one?" or, "Yes, I've heard good things about them." But from my "economy" clients, they cannot understand why I choose the higher priced repair place when the city is literally flooded with lower cost options.
And I've learned over time that some people just put more emphasis on saving time and the piece of mind that comes with choosing the higher value of a more secure option than others. They are simply just 2 different types of people. And typically, the results of their respective restaurants bear out those choices.
As for me and my cars, it's Christian Brothers, and for every friend, associate, or client, I tell them the same. I always share my most recent Christian Brothers experience with them so they fully understand why I choose them. And after that the choice is theirs.
