If you're concerned about the tread on your tires, we recommend the “penny test” to check your tread depth. Simply insert a penny into your tire's tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it's time to replace your tires.

Signs Your Vehicle Needs Wheel Alignment
If your car is pulling to one side or your steering wheel is off-center while driving straight, it may be time for an alignment check. Uneven tire wear is another indicator that your wheels may be misaligned.
Our technicians use state-of-the-art technology to detect a misalignment as small as one-tenth of a degree, ensuring precise corrections. Local road conditions, such as Alafaya's busy thoroughfares and occasional inclement weather, can impact alignment, making routine checks essential. Adjusting your wheel alignment improves safety, as a correctly aligned vehicle responds effectively in emergency situations, providing optimal stability and control.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a wheel alignment?
A wheel alignment is the process of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. Proper alignment improves vehicle handling, prolongs tire life, and ensures that your car travels straight.
Our technicians use computerized equipment to adjust these angles to your vehicle's exact manufacturer specifications. This precision helps prevent drifting, ensuring your car aligns perfectly with Alafaya's specific road conditions.
Why is wheel alignment important?
Wheel alignment is crucial because it directly affects the vehicle's handling and safety. Misaligned wheels can lead to uneven tire wear, decreased fuel efficiency, and steering problems.
Regular alignments can prevent these issues, improving the lifespan of your tires and stability of your vehicle. In a busy area like Alafaya, where traffic patterns can be intense, maintaining proper alignment is key to navigating safely and smoothly.
How often should I get a wheel alignment?
Typically, it's recommended to have your wheel alignment checked every two to three years. However, if you frequently drive on rough roads or notice signs of misalignment, such as your vehicle pulling to one side, you may need to have it checked more often.
Routine checks in Alafaya are important due to local road conditions that may lead to alignment issues. Additionally, taking into account seasonal changes and construction activities, more frequent inspections can be beneficial.
What are the symptoms of bad alignment?
Common symptoms of misaligned wheels include the vehicle pulling to one side, an off-center steering wheel, and uneven tire wear. If you experience any of these issues, it's advisable to schedule a wheel alignment service promptly.
Other signs might include noticeable vibrations at higher speeds or if the vehicle feels unstable during turns, factors that could be exacerbated by the diverse road conditions throughout Alafaya.
Can misalignment affect my vehicle’s performance?
Yes, misalignment can negatively impact your vehicle’s performance. It can lead to a bumpy ride, increased fuel consumption, and strain on steering, suspension, and braking systems. Addressing alignment issues proactively can maintain your vehicle’s efficiency and your personal safety.
By ensuring your wheels are perfectly aligned, you optimize your vehicle's responsiveness, an essential aspect when navigating both main arteries and residential streets in Alafaya.
