What Alignment Measurements Can Reveal
Tire wear and steering feel provide useful clues, but computerized measurements show whether the wheel angles meet the required specifications. When adjustment is appropriate, we re-align the vehicle to original manufacturer settings.
An adjustment can’t correct a worn or damaged tire, wheel, steering, or suspension component. If we identify a separate concern, we can explain the finding and review the recommended next step before any additional work proceeds.
When to Schedule an Alignment Check
We generally recommend checking alignment every 6,000 miles or when signs of misalignment appear. Your vehicle owner’s maintenance information, driving conditions, tire wear, steering behavior, and recent road impacts should also guide the timing.
Don’t wait for the next mileage interval if the steering wheel becomes off-center, the vehicle starts pulling, or the tires develop unusual wear. An inspection can determine whether the wheel angles or another component need attention.

How Alignment Differs From Wheel Balancing
Alignment concerns the angles and directional relationships of the wheels. Wheel balancing addresses how weight is distributed within each tire-and-wheel assembly. Because the services correct different conditions, an inspection is necessary to identify the source of a symptom.
Tracking & Steering Symptoms
Pulling, an off-center steering wheel, and directional instability can indicate that the wheel angles should be checked. Uneven tire wear may offer another clue, but only an inspection can identify the cause.
What Vehicle Vibration May Indicate
Vibration may be related to wheel balancing, tires, wheels, steering, suspension, or alignment. Tell us when the vibration occurs and whether you feel it through the steering wheel or floorboard. Those details help us focus the inspection on the most relevant components.
