How Our Tune-Up Process Works
Our service process is built around one principle: you should know what’s happening with your vehicle and why. Here’s what to expect from start to finish.
Step 1: Schedule Your Appointment
Book online or call our Rosenberg shop directly. If your vehicle has been showing symptoms, describe them when you schedule. That information helps our technicians prepare and often leads to faster, more accurate service.
Step 2: Diagnostics & Inspections
Our ASE-certified technicians use manufacturer-quality equipment to inspect your vehicle and identify any issues. Every system relevant to your tune-up is examined thoroughly before any recommendations are made.
Step 3: Digital Vehicle Inspection Report & Estimate
Before any work begins, we send you a full Digital Vehicle Inspection report via text, complete with photos and videos of what we found. You can review the findings on your smartphone at your own pace.
Step 4: Review & Approval
A service advisor walks you through the findings and answers your questions in plain language. You can approve or decline any recommended service through the DVI app or over the phone. Nothing moves forward without your go-ahead.
Step 5: Work Performed or Scheduled
Most tune-up work is completed during the same visit. When parts availability or your schedule calls for a return appointment, we coordinate the timing to minimize disruption.
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
What’s Included in a Tune-Up
Our tune-ups cover a complete analysis of the components that help your car run. Technicians inspect each item, explain what they found, and tell you what it costs to address before any work begins.
Components covered in every tune-up include:
- Spark Plugs
- Brakes
- Oil and other fluids
- Lights
- Tires
- Filters
- Emissions
Catching a developing issue during a routine tune-up can cost less than addressing it after it’s compounded. Checking these items against the manufacturer’s maintenance list helps keep your vehicle running as smoothly and efficiently as it was designed to. You decide which services to move forward with. Our technicians give you the information; the decision stays with you.
Tune-Ups & Scheduled Maintenance: How They Fit Together
A tune-up is a core part of regular scheduled maintenance, not a separate service. Scheduled maintenance takes a preventative approach, covering all the services in a tune-up plus additional checks tied to the mileage intervals in your owner’s manual. Think of the tune-up as the foundation and scheduled maintenance as the broader framework built around it. Together, they support vehicle performance and can help reduce the risk of larger repairs that come from deferred care.
