What to Expect With Engine Services
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Frequently driving your car with little fuel can harm your engine over time because the gasoline at the bottom of your tank is usually the dirtiest. When this part is used for fuel, you run a higher risk of dirt reaching your fuel line and engine.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will you diagnose my engine problem?
We start by listening to your concerns, then perform a visual inspection and computer scan. If needed, we complete additional testing to confirm what is happening inside the engine. After that, we review findings and estimates with you before any repair or car engine service moves forward.
Can you help me decide on engine repair or replacement?
Yes, we walk through both options with you. Our team reviews vehicle age, mileage, damage, and budget to help compare repair against replacement. We explain pros, cons, and warranty coverage so you can choose the option that makes the most sense for your situation.
How long do timing belt and head gasket repairs take?
Timing belt and head gasket repairs usually take longer than routine services because of the amount of disassembly involved. Actual time depends on your vehicle and the scope of work. We provide an estimated timeline up front and offer shuttle service to help you stay on schedule.
What kind of warranty do you offer on engine work?
We offer an industry-leading warranty on qualifying engine repairs and replacements. This coverage is designed to give you added confidence in the parts we install and the work our ASE-certified technicians perform. Our team explains how the warranty applies to your specific service before you approve the job.
Will you explain my options in plain language?
Yes. Clear communication is a core part of how we serve our guests. We avoid unnecessary jargon, take time to answer questions, and outline options in everyday terms. Our goal is for you to leave with a solid understanding of your engine and the choices available.
If you are dealing with warning lights, strange noises, or have been told you might need significant engine work, you do not have to sort it out alone. Our team at Christian Brothers Automotive Rosenberg is ready to listen, inspect your vehicle carefully, and provide a clear plan for next steps.
