What to Expect With an Alignment
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
If you're concerned about the tread on your tires, we recommend the “penny test” to check your tread depth. Simply insert a penny into your tire's tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it's time to replace your tires.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I really need an alignment?
You may need alignment if you notice pulling, an off-center steering wheel, or uneven tire wear. When you visit us, we inspect tires, steering, and suspension first. If the issue is not related to alignment, we explain what we see and discuss options before recommending any work.
How long does a wheel alignment usually take?
A typical alignment visit often takes around an hour once the vehicle is in the shop, although timing can vary based on inspection findings. We let you know what to expect when you arrive and offer a comfortable waiting area or a complimentary shuttle if you prefer to leave.
Will an alignment fix my car's pulling or vibration?
Alignment can correct pulling and some vibration when misaligned wheels are the cause. However, issues like tire problems or worn suspension parts can create similar symptoms. Our technicians check these components first and explain what they find, so you understand whether alignment alone will address your concern.
How often should I get my alignment checked?
Many drivers choose to have alignment checked when they replace tires, after hitting a significant pothole, or if they notice changes in handling. We can also review alignment during routine visits. Our team offers guidance based on your driving habits and the road conditions you experience regularly.
Can you check my suspension and tires during alignment?
Yes, alignment appointments at our shop include a look at key suspension and steering components, along with your tires. If we see wear, damage, or safety concerns, we bring them to your attention and explain options. Our goal is to give you a full picture before you decide on any repairs.
