How Christian Brothers Automotive Fountain Creek Can Help
We’re focused on reshaping the brake repair experience. Before any work begins, we provide a full summary of what your vehicle needs, including a clear breakdown of parts and labor costs. Every repair is your decision. We don’t touch your vehicle without your consent.
Our brake inspection checklist covers every critical component: brake pad thickness, calipers, brake and hydraulic fluid level and condition, brake hoses (which wear regularly and need inspection at each visit), brake hardware, and rotor wear. Nothing gets skipped.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Causes the ABS Light to Come On?
The ABS light (anti-lock braking system warning) can illuminate for several reasons, including a malfunctioning ABS module, low fluid reservoir levels, broken wheel speed sensors, or the system being inadvertently turned off. If your ABS light comes on, schedule an inspection so we can pinpoint the cause and restore proper system function.
How Long Do Brake Pads Last?
Brake pad lifespan varies depending on your vehicle type, how you drive, and the conditions you drive in. Pads can last anywhere from 25,000 to 70,000 miles. Aggressive braking and frequent stop-and-go driving wear them down faster. We’ll check your current pad thickness during every brake service visit and let you know where you stand.
How Often Should Brake Fluid Be Changed?
General guidelines recommend a brake fluid flush every 30,000 miles or two years, but your owner’s manual will specify the interval your manufacturer recommends. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which can reduce braking performance. We check fluid condition during every inspection.
What Is the Nice difference.® Warranty?
The Nice difference.® warranty covers all work performed at Christian Brothers Automotive Fountain Creek for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes later. That includes brake pad replacement, rotor service, fluid flushes, and any other brake repair we complete. The warranty is honored at any Christian Brothers Automotive location nationwide, not just our Fountain shop.
What Is a Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI)?
A Digital Vehicle Inspection is a complimentary service we perform on every visit. Our technicians document findings with photos taken from under the hood and throughout the vehicle. You receive those images directly and can approve or deny any service recommendations right from your smartphone, or by calling us. It’s one of the ways we keep our brake service process fully transparent.
Do You Work with Extended Warranty Providers?
Christian Brothers Automotive Fountain Creek works with all major extended warranty providers. When you schedule your brake repair or brake service appointment, let us know you have extended warranty coverage and we can confirm what applies to your visit before any work begins.
