Our Three-Step Computer Testing Process
- Bring In Your Vehicle: Tell us about the warning light, unusual sound, performance change, or other symptoms you’ve noticed.
- We Test the Related Systems: Our ASE-certified technicians use advanced, manufacturer-level equipment to investigate the code and its possible causes.
- Review the Findings: We provide a Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) report and explain our recommendations. You decide what happens next, with no pressure and no surprises.
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Signs Your Vehicle May Need Testing
A check engine light is a common reason to schedule testing, but it isn’t the only one. Rough idling, stalling, difficult starting, reduced fuel efficiency, changes in acceleration, or a vehicle that simply isn’t running as expected may also require closer investigation.
Why Accurate Testing Matters for Cumming Drivers
Accurate testing can take time when several connected systems need to be evaluated. While you wait, you can relax in our comfortable waiting area with complimentary Wi-Fi and refreshments. Shuttle service is also available to local establishments during longer repairs, allowing you to continue with your day.
Why a Trouble Code Isn’t a Complete Answer
A diagnostic trouble code identifies the system in which the vehicle detected a problem, not necessarily the component that caused it. For example, a code may flag an unexpected sensor reading even when the sensor is functioning properly. Wiring, fuel delivery, ignition components, air intake problems, or another connected system could be affecting that reading.
Testing live data and related components allows us to confirm the underlying cause before recommending a repair. This approach reduces guesswork and helps avoid replacing a part based solely on a stored code. We document the results in your Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) report so you can see the basis for each recommendation.

FAQs

Q. "What does a vehicle test do?"
Today’s vehicles are more advanced than ever. They’re essentially computers on wheels, with complex systems controlling everything from performance and safety to comfort and efficiency. When a warning light comes on or something feels off, our testing process takes a deep dive into these systems to identify the real issue, not just a surface-level code. This thorough approach goes far beyond a quick parts-store scan and helps ensure repairs are accurate, effective, and long-lasting.
