Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Lafayette Commutes Are Hard on Brakes
Regular travel between Broussard and Lafayette on routes like U.S. Route 90 means frequent stop-and-go traffic and shifting highway speeds. That pattern accelerates wear on brakes, tires, fluids, and air conditioning systems. If your daily drive includes that corridor, your brakes are working harder than you might think.
Brake Maintenance for Lafayette Drivers
Brake fluid flushes are generally recommended every 30,000 miles or two years. Staying on that schedule helps protect the hydraulic components your brakes depend on.
Brake pad and rotor wear rates vary based on driving habits, road conditions, and vehicle type. City driving and frequent hard stops wear pads faster than highway miles. Squeaking is often an early sign that pads are nearing the end of their useful life, and catching it early can mean addressing them before rotor damage becomes part of the repair.
Schedule Your Free Visual Brake Inspection
We offer free visual brake inspections on most vehicles, and that inspection can often be completed during a routine oil change as part of our courtesy inspection. It’s an easy way to stay ahead of brake wear without a separate trip. Call (337) 520-8460 or book online to schedule brake service at Christian Brothers Automotive Broussard.
What a Full Brake Diagnostic Involves
A free visual brake inspection gives us a look at pad thickness and obvious wear, but it isn’t the same as a full diagnostic. When the situation calls for a deeper assessment, our technicians may perform component removal or a road test to pinpoint the issue. That diagnostic is priced based on the complexity required.
Every visit to Christian Brothers Automotive Broussard includes a complimentary Digital Vehicle Inspection with photos, so you see exactly what our technicians see. You can review the findings and approve or decline recommended brake work directly from your smartphone, or we can walk you through it over the phone. Either way, you stay informed and in control of every decision.
