Our Promise: No Surprises, No Pressure
Every car diagnostic testing appointment at Christian Brothers Automotive Arvada ends the same way: with you in control. Our technicians document what they find, walk you through the DVI report, and wait for your go-ahead before any repair begins.
Through August 31, 2026, we’re offering a free check-engine warning light code scan or $25 off advanced electrical or performance testing at our Arvada location. Schedule online or call (970) 780-4015 to get started.
When to Bring Your Vehicle In
Some warning signs are easy to dismiss, especially when the car still drives. But certain symptoms mean car diagnostic testing shouldn’t wait. A check engine light that stays on calls for attention. A flashing check engine light is more urgent. It can indicate an active engine misfire that can cause additional damage if ignored. Other symptoms that warrant a visit include rough idling, stalling, noticeable loss of power, unusual smells from the engine or exhaust, and a failed emissions inspection.
Catching an issue early typically means fewer systems are affected by the time it’s addressed. Ignoring a warning indicator gives a minor problem time to involve additional components, raising repair costs and reducing vehicle reliability.
Why Manufacturer-Level Equipment Matters
The OBD-II trouble codes stored in your vehicle’s onboard computer are a starting point, not a diagnosis. Generic code readers available at auto parts stores can pull those codes, but they don’t perform the system-level analysis needed to confirm the root cause. Two vehicles with the same stored code can have different underlying problems.
Our state-of-the-art tools used by manufacturers communicate with your vehicle using the same protocols it was built with. That access surfaces pending codes that haven’t yet triggered a warning light, live sensor data across multiple systems, and system-specific parameters that generic tools don’t reach. The result is a complete picture of what’s happening inside your vehicle and a more accurate recommendation. Combined with the DVI report, that picture is documented, photographed, and explained in language that makes sense to you, not just to a technician.

FAQs
-
Q. "What does a vehicle test do?"
Today’s vehicles are more advanced than ever. They’re essentially computers on wheels, with complex systems controlling everything from performance and safety to comfort and efficiency. When a warning light comes on or something feels off, our testing process takes a deep dive into these systems to identify the real issue, not just a surface-level code. This thorough approach goes far beyond a quick parts-store scan and helps ensure repairs are accurate, effective, and long-lasting.
-
Q. "How long does a vehicle test take?"We believe in doing things right, not rushing through them. While some tests can be completed quickly, others take more time, depending on the concern. Our priority is accuracy, so you can feel confident in the results and the next steps.
