Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does a Tune-Up Usually Take?
Visit duration varies based on your vehicle’s condition and which services you approve. We start with the inspection and diagnostics, review our findings with you, and only then perform approved work. When you schedule, we can provide a time estimate based on your vehicle and the services likely needed so you can plan your day accordingly.
How Much Will My Tune-Up Cost?
Cost depends on your vehicle, its mileage, and which parts or services are needed. We inspect first and explain what we find before providing estimates, so you’ll know the full picture before any work begins. Our team can talk through options so you can choose what fits your budget and timing. There are no surprises after the fact.
Can You Check Other Issues During My Tune-Up Visit?
Yes. Mention any other concerns when you schedule or when you arrive. Our Digital Vehicle Inspection often surfaces related issues during the visit, and our technicians can look into additional symptoms such as noises, vibrations, or warning lights during the same appointment. We prioritize findings so you can decide what to address now and what to plan for later.
Do I Need a Tune-Up If My Car Seems to Run Fine?
Many engine components wear gradually, and a vehicle may not show noticeable symptoms until that wear is already significant. Following manufacturer-recommended service intervals gives us a chance to catch developing issues early, which supports long-term engine reliability and can help reduce the risk of more costly failures down the road. A vehicle that runs fine today may be closer to a problem than it feels.
Can I Wait at Your Shop During Service?
Customers who prefer to wait are welcome. We can provide a time estimate upfront and keep you updated on progress throughout the visit. If you’d rather drop off your vehicle, our complimentary shuttle service can take you where you need to go, and we can let you know as soon as your vehicle is ready. All work performed is covered by the Nice Difference® Warranty: 3 years/36,000 miles, honored at any Christian Brothers Automotive location nationwide.
