Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Know If I Need Suspension or Shock Service?
Common signs include excessive bouncing over bumps, uneven tire wear, a drifting sensation while turning, or noticeable noises when driving on rough roads. If any of these occur, it’s best to have your suspension inspected.
How Often Should Shocks & Struts Be Replaced?
Shocks and struts typically last between 50,000 and 100,000 miles, but Grand Rapids streets and winter road conditions may accelerate wear. Annual inspections are recommended to catch any issues early.
Can I Drive With a Bad Strut or Shock?
Continuing to drive with worn shocks or struts can affect handling, increase stop distance, and lead to further vehicle damage. Prompt attention can prevent more costly repairs down the road.
Why Is Suspension Service Important for Michigan Drivers?
Harsh winters, salt, and frequent potholes in West Michigan make suspension upkeep crucial to safety and comfort. Regular maintenance helps extend your vehicle’s lifespan and prevents expensive breakdowns.
Do You Offer a Warranty With Suspension Repairs?
Yes, all qualifying shocks, struts, and suspension repairs come with a nationwide parts & labor warranty. Ask our team for details specific to your repair at the time of service.
