If you're concerned about the tread on your tires, we recommend the “penny test” to check your tread depth. Simply insert a penny into your tire's tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it's time to replace your tires.
Signs You May Need an Alignment Service
While alignment issues are uncomfortable, they also cause big problems for your tires. Uneven wear can shorten your tires’ lifespan and even cause a dangerous blowout while you’re driving.
If your vehicle is exhibiting any of the following symptoms or has been in a recent collision, you must get your alignment checked out immediately:
- Uneven or cupped tire wear
- Cupped wear: also known as tire scalloping, this wear pattern appears as dips around the edge of your tire tread.
- Vehicle and floorboard vibrations at highway speeds
- Pulling to one side when driving straight
- Diminished handling capability
- Steering wheel off-center while driving
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I really need an alignment?
If your car pulls, the steering wheel is off-center, or your tires show uneven wear, an alignment check is a good idea. Our team can inspect your tires and suspension, measure alignment angles, and explain whether adjusting them will help your specific situation.
How long does a wheel alignment usually take?
A typical alignment visit often fits within part of a morning or afternoon, depending on vehicle condition and any additional issues we find. We let you know what to expect when you schedule, and our complimentary shuttle can help you keep moving while we work.
Will you explain the alignment results to me?
Yes, explaining results is a key part of how we serve you. After measuring and adjusting alignment, we review the readings with you, point out what was out of range, and show how it compares to recommended values, all in clear language without unnecessary technical terms.
Do you check my suspension and tires during alignment?
We look closely at your tires and accessible suspension and steering components before performing alignment adjustments. If we see worn or damaged parts that could affect safety or alignment accuracy, we bring them to your attention and talk through options before moving forward.
Is your alignment work covered by a warranty?
Our alignment services are backed by an industry-leading warranty that reflects our confidence in the quality of our work. We can explain the details for your specific visit, so you understand how we stand behind the service performed on your vehicle.
