What to Expect With an Alignment
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
If you're concerned about the tread on your tires, we recommend the “penny test” to check your tread depth. Simply insert a penny into your tire's tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it's time to replace your tires.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my car needs an alignment?
You may need alignment if your car pulls, the steering wheel is off-center, or your tires show uneven wear. Vibrations or a drifting feeling on straight roads can also be clues. If you notice any of these signs, our team can inspect your settings and review the results with you.
How long does a wheel alignment usually take?
A typical alignment appointment often takes around an hour, although timing can vary based on the vehicle and any additional checks needed. We can discuss expectations when you schedule. While you wait, you are welcome to relax in our lobby or use our complimentary shuttle service.
Will you check my car before recommending alignment?
Yes, we start by looking over your tires, steering, and suspension before performing an alignment service. If we see concerns that might affect results, we discuss them with you first. Our goal is to explain what we find in plain language so you can decide what makes the most sense.
Can you align my car if my tires are worn?
We can often perform alignment on vehicles with moderate tire wear, but severely worn or damaged tires may not be safe to adjust. During our inspection, we assess tire condition and explain whether alignment, tire replacement, or both would best protect your safety and your tire investment.
What kind of warranty do you offer on alignment work?
Our alignment-related services are backed by our industry-leading warranty, which is designed to give you added confidence after your visit. Specific coverage details can vary by service, and our team is happy to explain how the warranty applies to your vehicle before any work begins.
