What to Expect With Engine Services
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Frequently driving your car with little fuel can harm your engine over time because the gasoline at the bottom of your tank is usually the dirtiest. When this part is used for fuel, you run a higher risk of dirt reaching your fuel line and engine.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you diagnose engine problems?
We begin with a conversation about your symptoms, then perform a visual inspection and computer diagnostics. Our ASE-certified technicians test components as needed to confirm the cause. We then review the results with you, explain options, and provide a written estimate before any repair work starts.
Will you tell me if repair or replacement makes more sense?
Yes, we discuss both options when that choice comes up. We consider mileage, vehicle condition, repair costs, and how long you plan to keep the car. Our recommendations are based on safety and value, and we explain why we suggest repair or engine replacement in your situation.
How long will a major engine work usually take?
The time required depends on the specific repair, parts availability, and your vehicle. Some engine repairs can be completed in a day, while larger projects may take several days. We provide an estimated timeline upfront and keep you updated, and our shuttle service can help with transportation needs.
Is my engine repair covered by a warranty?
Most engine repairs performed at our shop are backed by an industry-leading warranty. The exact coverage depends on the parts and services involved, and we review those details with you before you approve the work. This warranty is one way we show our confidence in our workmanship.
Should I keep driving if my car is overheating?
Continuing to drive an overheating vehicle can cause serious engine damage. If it is safe, pull over, turn off the engine, and let it cool. Avoid opening a hot radiator. When you can, contact our team for guidance and to arrange a visit so we can find and address the cause.
