Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need a diagnostic if a light is on?
In many cases, a diagnostic is the safest way to understand why a warning light is on. Some lights indicate minor issues, while others point to problems that can damage your engine or affect safety. Our team can help you determine how urgent your situation is.
How long does a car diagnostic test usually take?
Many diagnostic appointments can be completed within a few hours, although timing depends on the issue and how involved the testing needs to be. We let you know what to expect when you schedule, and we keep you updated if additional checks are needed.
Will you explain the diagnostic results in plain language?
Yes, explaining results clearly is a core part of what we do. Our technicians review the findings with you, translate technical terms into everyday language, and answer your questions. We want you to understand what is happening with your vehicle before you decide on any repairs.
Am I obligated to do repairs after the diagnostic?
No, you are not required to approve repairs after a car diagnostic test. We provide our findings and recommendations, then you choose how to proceed. If you decide to wait, we can share any safety concerns and help you plan for future service when the time is right.
Can I wait at the shop while you check my car?
Yes, you are welcome to wait in our comfortable lobby while we complete your diagnostic. If waiting is not convenient, we also offer a complimentary shuttle service within our service area, so you can get to work, home, or other nearby stops while we work on your vehicle.

FAQs

Q. "What does a vehicle test do?"
Today’s vehicles are more advanced than ever. They’re essentially computers on wheels, with complex systems controlling everything from performance and safety to comfort and efficiency. When a warning light comes on or something feels off, our testing process takes a deep dive into these systems to identify the real issue, not just a surface-level code. This thorough approach goes far beyond a quick parts-store scan and helps ensure repairs are accurate, effective, and long-lasting.
