Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know I really need a new battery?
The best way to know is through proper testing. We measure your battery's health and, when appropriate, check the charging system so we can see if the battery is weak or if another part is causing the problem. We review the results with you before recommending replacement.
How long does battery testing and installation take?
Battery testing itself typically takes a short amount of time, and many installations can be completed on the same visit. Exact timing depends on your vehicle and any additional testing or work needed. When you call ahead, we can give you a better idea based on the day’s schedule.
Can you check if it is my alternator instead of the battery?
Yes, our technicians can test both the battery and the charging system. If symptoms suggest an alternator or starter issue, we include those checks so you are not replacing a healthy battery. We then explain what we find and talk through the repair options that make sense.
What kind of warranty do you offer on a new battery?
We offer a strong warranty on the batteries we install and on our workmanship. Specific coverage can vary by battery type, so we review the details with you before you approve the job. Our goal is to give you clear expectations and peace of mind after the service.
Do I need an appointment for battery service?
We recommend calling ahead so we can plan for your visit and reduce your wait time. In some cases, we can accommodate walk-ins, but availability depends on the day and current workload. A quick call lets us advise you on the best time to come in.
Ensure your alternator and starter are performing optimally with technical mastery you can count on.

FAQs
-
Q. "How long can a car sit before the battery dies?"The battery in your car can die within as little as two weeks when unused. While our cars are more technologically advanced than ever, this comes at a cost. Due to the various gadgets and computer technology manufacturers include in our vehicles, the newest models coming off the line are always on, continually monitoring the car’s systems around the clock.
-
Q. "Does the temperature affect my vehicle's battery?"Hot and cold temperatures can ruin your battery, especially if it’s already weak. Most customers in warm, southern climates don’t realize that hot weather drains their batteries. On the other hand, cold temperatures slow down chemical reactions, which means that your car battery will become sluggish and appear to be far lower than it actually is. Most modern batteries are designed to deliver an abundance of power at what is considered a “cold crank” temperature, but older batteries or batteries which are further into their lifespan may even fail to start your car on a particularly frigid and frosty morning.

"Why do car batteries fail?"The answer to this popular question includes many different reasons, ranging from age, corrosion, alternator problems, extreme weather conditions, or the classic case of headlights being left on.
