A Comprehensive Approach to Brake Diagnostics
At Christian Brothers Automotive Mount Dora, we're dedicated to a new standard of car repair—one built on trust and transparency. When you bring your vehicle in for a brake inspection, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your entire braking system. We don’t just look at the pads; we examine every critical component. Following our inspection, we’ll provide you with a clear, easy-to-understand summary of our findings, complete with a detailed breakdown of all necessary parts and labor costs. We believe in empowering our customers, so we'll never perform any work without your full consent. Your vehicle's repairs are always your decision.
During our detailed brake inspection, our technicians meticulously check the following components:
- Brake Pad and Shoe Thickness: We measure the wear on your friction material to determine if it's time for a replacement.
- Rotor and Drum Condition: We inspect for signs of uneven wear, scoring, or warping, which can affect braking efficiency and cause vibrations.
- Brake Fluid: We assess the fluid's level and condition, as contaminated or old fluid can compromise hydraulic pressure and stopping power.
- Calipers and Cylinders: We check these crucial components for leaks and proper operation.
- Brake Hoses: We inspect these lines for any cracks, bulges, or signs of wear and tear that could lead to a sudden loss of braking power.
- Brake Hardware: We examine all clips, springs, and other hardware for corrosion or damage.
