What to Expect During Diesel Diagnostics & Repair
We keep you informed from the first conversation through final authorization. You’ll understand what we found, review the available options, and decide how to proceed before work begins.
1. Review Your Vehicle’s Symptoms
We start by discussing the concern, when it occurs, and which warning lights are active. We’ll also ask about recent changes in starting, power, temperature, smoke, or fuel economy. How you use the vehicle, including towing, commuting, or long-distance driving, can provide useful context.
2. Inspect & Explain the Findings
Our technicians assess the vehicle and document relevant conditions. A Digital Vehicle Inspection includes photos so you can see the vehicle’s condition, and we explain the findings in clear language.
3. Review the Estimate & Authorize Service
We present repair options and provide a clear estimate before work begins. You can ask questions, separate urgent concerns from work that may be scheduled later, and authorize the service you want us to complete. Afterward, we confirm that the reported problem has been addressed before returning the vehicle.
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Clear Recommendations & Convenient Service in Gilbert
Some vehicle concerns require careful testing rather than an immediate answer at the service counter. We explain our recommendations without technical jargon or high-pressure tactics, giving you the information you need to make an informed decision.
Customer conveniences and service protections include:
- Complimentary shuttle service: Arrange transportation while your vehicle is being serviced.
- Courtesy Inspection: We review major vehicle systems and components, including lights, brakes, suspension, tires, and the battery.
- Nice Difference Warranty: Work performed by our Gilbert store is covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs last.
Maintaining a Diesel Vehicle in Arizona Heat
High temperatures can place added stress on batteries, fluids, air-conditioning components, and cooling performance. Drivers in Gilbert and Mesa should watch for slow starts, fluid loss, unusual temperature changes, or declining performance, particularly before towing or extended travel.
Cooling Performance & Overheating
An increasing temperature gauge, coolant warning, visible leak, or repeated overheating calls for prompt inspection. Continuing to operate an overheating vehicle can worsen the underlying problem. Stop driving if the vehicle can’t be operated safely.
Warning Lights & Emissions Concerns
A check-engine or emissions-related warning can appear even when the vehicle seems to drive normally. Testing identifies the system reporting the fault and provides a sound basis for repair recommendations.
Arizona emissions testing requirements depend on the vehicle type, model year, fuel type, weight, and registration area. Some vehicles in the Phoenix metropolitan area may require testing, but the same rules don’t apply to every diesel vehicle.
Maintenance Based on How You Drive
Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for inspections, fluids, filters, and service intervals. Battery condition and cooling performance also deserve attention in Arizona’s climate. Mileage, operating conditions, towing, heavy loads, and long-distance travel can all affect when maintenance is due.
