Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I get an oil change?
While the typical recommendation is every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, your owner’s manual offers the most accurate guideline. In hotter climates or if you frequently drive in demanding conditions, more frequent changes may be beneficial. We also recommend consulting with our technicians to craft a maintenance schedule that considers your specific driving habits and vehicle model.
What type of oil is best for my vehicle?
Choices depend on your vehicle’s specifications and driving habits. For most engines, synthetic oils offer better performance, particularly in extreme temperatures. Checking your owner’s manual or consulting with our technicians can guide your decision. Additionally, understanding the differences in oil types can help you make informed choices that best match your car's needs and lifestyle.
Can skipping an oil change damage my engine?
Yes, neglecting oil changes can lead to increased wear and tear, overheating, and ultimately engine failure, especially in the varied climate of Falcon. Regular oil changes act as a safeguard, maintaining the engine's functionality and avoiding potential failures on the road. Proactive maintenance protects the significant investment you’ve made in your vehicle.
What are the signs that my car needs an oil change?
Common signs include noisy engines, lower fuel economy, and dark or dirty oil on your dipstick. Regular check-ups help prevent these issues from developing. It’s important to recognize these early indicators and act promptly to prevent further complications that might arise from neglected oil changes.
How long does an oil change service usually take?
A standard oil change service at our shop typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes. This allows our technicians enough time to not only perform the oil and filter change correctly but also to conduct our complimentary courtesy inspection. We focus on being both thorough and efficient to get you back on the road safely without a long wait.
