What to Expect With Engine Services
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Frequently driving your car with little fuel can harm your engine over time because the gasoline at the bottom of your tank is usually the dirtiest. When this part is used for fuel, you run a higher risk of dirt reaching your fuel line and engine.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you decide between repair and engine replacement?
We start with thorough diagnostics, then review the results, vehicle age, mileage, and overall condition with you. If repairs can reasonably restore safe, reliable operation, we explain that path. If internal damage is extensive, we discuss engine replacement as an option and help you compare costs and benefits.
Is it safe to keep driving with engine knocking or overheating?
In many cases, driving with knocking or recurring overheating is not safe for the engine. Continued use can cause additional internal damage and higher repair costs. We usually recommend limiting driving and scheduling an inspection as soon as possible so we can check for serious problems.
When should I schedule a timing belt replacement on my vehicle?
The right interval depends on your vehicle’s manufacturer recommendations and how the car is driven. We can look up the specific schedule for your year, make, and model, then inspect the belt and related parts. Scheduling on time is one of the best ways to help prevent major engine damage.
What does your warranty cover for major engine repairs?
Our engine repairs are backed by an industry-leading warranty on qualifying parts and labor. Coverage details can vary by service and component, so we review the warranty with you before work begins. That way, you know how long the repair is covered and what situations are included.
Can your team help me understand the estimate before I approve it?
Yes. Our team walks through each part of the estimate, explaining what it is, why it is recommended, and what might happen if it is delayed. We welcome questions and will take the time to clarify anything unclear so you can approve work with confidence.
