What's Included in Our Tune-Up Inspection?
Our tune-up service is an extensive inspection of the systems that are most vital to your car's operation. While the specific services may vary based on your vehicle's make, model, and mileage, a standard tune-up at our Columbus location typically includes an in-depth look at the following:
- Spark Plugs and Wires: We inspect the spark plugs for wear and tear, as they are essential for proper engine combustion. Old or fouled plugs can lead to poor fuel economy and a decrease in power.
- Air and Fuel Filters: A clean air filter is crucial for the engine to breathe properly, while a clean fuel filter ensures a steady flow of uncontaminated fuel. Clogged filters can hinder performance and fuel efficiency.
- Fluid Checks: We meticulously check the levels and condition of all essential fluids, including engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, and brake fluid. These fluids lubricate, cool, and protect your vehicle's various systems.
- Belts and Hoses: We visually inspect all belts and hoses for signs of cracking, fraying, or leaks. These components are vital for your car's cooling and charging systems.
- Ignition System: We examine the ignition system, including the ignition coils, to ensure a strong, reliable spark is reaching the plugs. A weak ignition can cause misfires and a rough idle.
- Emissions System: We inspect key components of the emissions system to ensure your vehicle is running cleanly and efficiently, which helps reduce its environmental impact.
