What to Expect at Your European Vehicle Service Visit
We keep the process straightforward from the moment you call to the moment you pick up your keys. Here’s how a typical visit works at Christian Brothers Automotive Springfield:
- Schedule Your Appointment: Call or book online. Note any symptoms or warning lights when scheduling. That detail helps our team prepare and can accelerate diagnostics.
- Diagnostics and Inspections: Our technicians use metric tools and OEM-level diagnostic software to identify exactly what your vehicle needs.
- Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate: Findings and photos are sent directly to your phone. You see what we see before any decision is made.
- Review and Approval: You approve or decline each recommended service. Nothing proceeds without your sign-off.
- Work Performed or Scheduled: Most repairs are completed the same visit. All qualifying repairs are covered by the Nice difference.® Warranty.

3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled

European Makes We Service in Springfield
We service a wide range of European vehicles spanning German, British, Swedish, and Italian origins. If you drive a European make, there’s a good chance we’re already set up to service it.
- German: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, MINI, and Porsche
- British: Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin
- Swedish: Volvo, Saab
- Italian: Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Fiat
If you own a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, or McLaren, we recommend contacting your local Christian Brothers Automotive before scheduling. These vehicles may require specialized tools or exceed standard liability coverage, and we want to confirm capability and coverage before your visit.
Why European Vehicles Require Service Designed for Their Systems
European vehicles are engineered to tighter tolerances and with more integrated systems than most domestic platforms. Understanding those differences explains why the right diagnostic tools and technician training matter before any repair begins.
Make-Specific Fault Code Protocols
BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and similar makes use proprietary fault code systems that generic scan tools often misread or miss entirely. OEM-level diagnostic software reads these platforms accurately, which is the starting point for any reliable diagnosis on a European vehicle.
Metric Fasteners and Proprietary Torque Specifications
European engines use metric fasteners and torque specifications that differ from domestic or Asian vehicles. Technicians who aren’t trained on these systems risk stripping fasteners or under-torquing components, which can create new problems in the process of fixing old ones.
Factory Maintenance Intervals and Warranty Protection
Maintenance intervals on European vehicles vary significantly by make and model. Following the correct schedule and logging service properly helps protect any remaining manufacturer or extended warranty coverage. A missed interval documented incorrectly can complicate a warranty claim later.
Integrated Electrical Systems
German luxury makes in particular use deeply integrated electrical architectures where a fault in one module can trigger warning lights across multiple systems. Accurate diagnostics before any repair begins prevents misdiagnosis and unnecessary part replacement.
The Cost of Deferred Maintenance
On European platforms, components are more interdependent than on most domestic vehicles. Skipping or delaying scheduled maintenance tends to carry a higher cost consequence because failures can cascade from one system to another. Staying current with factory-scheduled maintenance is a cost-effective way to own a European vehicle long-term.
