Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need a new car battery?
Common signs include slow cranking, clicking when you turn the key, dim lights, or a battery warning light. The best way to know for sure is to have the battery and charging system tested. We perform these checks and explain the results before recommending replacement.
Will you check my alternator and starter, too?
Yes, we typically test the battery, alternator, and starter as a complete system. This helps us identify whether your issue is a weak battery, a charging problem, or a starter concern. We share those findings in clear language so you understand what needs attention and why.
How long does a typical battery replacement take?
In many cases, battery testing and replacement can be completed within a single visit that fits into part of your day. Exact timing can vary based on your vehicle and any additional findings. If you cannot wait, our complimentary shuttle can often help you get where you need to go.
What kind of warranty comes with my new battery?
We offer an industry-leading warranty on qualifying batteries and related labor. Specific coverage details can vary by battery type, and we explain those terms before installation. Our goal is to give you clear expectations and peace of mind about the protection that comes with your new battery.
Can I wait at your shop while my battery is replaced?
Yes, you are welcome to wait in our comfortable lobby while we test and, if needed, replace your battery. If waiting is not convenient, you can ask about our complimentary shuttle. Either way, our team works to make the experience as easy and stress-free as possible.

FAQs
-
Q. "How long can a car sit before the battery dies?"The battery in your car can die within as little as two weeks when unused. While our cars are more technologically advanced than ever, this comes at a cost. Due to the various gadgets and computer technology manufacturers include in our vehicles, the newest models coming off the line are always on, continually monitoring the car’s systems around the clock.
-
Q. "Does the temperature affect my vehicle's battery?"Hot and cold temperatures can ruin your battery, especially if it’s already weak. Most customers in warm, southern climates don’t realize that hot weather drains their batteries. On the other hand, cold temperatures slow down chemical reactions, which means that your car battery will become sluggish and appear to be far lower than it actually is. Most modern batteries are designed to deliver an abundance of power at what is considered a “cold crank” temperature, but older batteries or batteries which are further into their lifespan may even fail to start your car on a particularly frigid and frosty morning.

"Why do car batteries fail?"The answer to this popular question includes many different reasons, ranging from age, corrosion, alternator problems, extreme weather conditions, or the classic case of headlights being left on.
