Dear Ms. Reagan,
I’ve recently returned from a fantastic vacation to Florida with my sister and brother-in-law, Cissy and Faheem, of Lewisville. My vacation almost did not happen, and would not have been possible except for the expertise of the staff at Christian Brothers Automotive.
As we were headed out of town on a Friday afternoon, I somehow managed to put about half a tank of diesel in my Toyota Rav4 (which is a gasoline engine). When I realized my blunder, my brother-in-law headed to Christian Brothers. Thankfully, the Rav4 made it that far. I was expecting to hear that it would be Monday before the car could be looked at, but Martin brought it right into the shop, put it on the rack, and devised a method to drain the gas tank.
We also had along six teenagers, so my sister and I took the kids to a local park. After about an hour and a half of trying to accept the fact that I probably wouldn’t be going to Florida, we got a call from Faheem that the car was ready to go. By the time we got back to the shop, it had closed (I’m sure some of you stayed late on that day, dealing with my vehicle), so I wasn’t able to speak with you in person.
I was ecstatic. I just couldn’t believe that such an awful situation had turned out so well. The car was running fine. Then Faheem told me that you and Martin had declined to take the payment for the services, and I was truly overwhelmed. I was on a very tight budget for this vacation, and although I would have paid any amount to have the car fixed, it may have meant not going to Florida. At any rate, I cannot thank you and your staff enough. I was amazed that Martin was able to immediately assess the problem, and start working on the vehicle. When I learned he had fixed it, I was extremely grateful, and when Faheem told me there had been no charge, I was brought to tears.
