Headlight & Taillight Replacement in Magnolia

See Photos & a Written Estimate Before Repairs Begin

A failed or unreliable exterior light needs a clear diagnosis before the correct repair can begin. At Christian Brothers Automotive Magnolia, we provide headlight and taillight replacement in Magnolia, TX. A free Digital Vehicle Inspection documents the vehicle’s condition, and we provide a written estimate before approved work begins.

Headlights illuminate the road and make an approaching vehicle easier for others to see. Taillights provide rear visibility whenever the headlights are on. Our ASE-certified technicians service domestic and import vehicles, while owner/operator Kyle Cordell provides accountability for our work with Magnolia drivers.

Addressing a failed exterior light before driving in low-light conditions supports safer night travel and keeps vehicle lights working properly.

Call (346) 445-8403 to schedule an inspection for a failed, dim, flickering, or damaged light.

What to Expect During Headlight or Taillight Service

We begin by listening to your concerns and performing a preliminary inspection. This check helps distinguish a failed bulb from a problem involving the lens, housing, wiring, or another electrical component.

Our detailed Digital Vehicle Inspection often includes photos showing the vehicle’s condition. We explain our findings and provide a written estimate identifying the parts and services associated with the proposed work.

Once you approve the repair, we complete the authorized work and check the affected light. We also perform a test drive before completing the service.

Signs an Exterior Light Needs Attention

Lighting problems aren’t limited to bulbs that have stopped working. Dimming headlights can reduce forward visibility after dark, while flickering lamps may indicate an intermittent electrical problem. Cloudy or damaged headlight lenses can also reduce the amount of light reaching the road.

Our free Courtesy Inspection checks major vehicle systems, including:

During service, inspection photos show the condition we’re evaluating. Our technicians handle routine automotive service and complex repairs when a problem extends beyond the light itself.

Bulb Failures & Lighting Assembly Concerns

A bulb replacement addresses the failed light source when the housing and related electrical components are functioning correctly. A complete headlight or taillight assembly may require attention when damage or failure involves the lens, housing, mounting points, or integrated components. An inspection determines whether the problem is isolated to a bulb or affects the broader assembly.

We use manufacturer-quality equipment when diagnosing and servicing lighting problems. After approved work, your itemized invoice shows each part and service line instead of combining the repair into an unexplained total.

Safer Night Driving on Magnolia-Area Roads

Night travel on FM 1488 and routes toward The Woodlands and Tomball requires working headlights and clearly visible taillights. Dim or failed lamps make it harder to see and reduce your vehicle’s visibility to other road users. Addressing the problem before an evening drive helps you avoid discovering it after dark.

Complimentary shuttle service is available while we complete your service, allowing you to continue with your day without driving with an unreliable light.

Texas Lighting Rules & Montgomery County Inspections

Texas law requires at least two headlamps, with one mounted on each side of the vehicle’s front. The permitted mounting height is 24 to 54 inches. State law also requires at least two taillamps mounted 15 to 72 inches high and emitting red light visible from 1,000 feet behind the vehicle.

A taillamp must emit light whenever a headlamp or auxiliary driving lamp is illuminated. These laws still apply even though Texas ended routine safety inspections for non-commercial vehicles on January 1, 2025.

Montgomery County, which includes Magnolia, remains subject to emissions testing, but that test doesn’t evaluate headlights. Commercial vehicles still require a Texas safety inspection that includes lights. The change in personal-vehicle inspection rules doesn’t make failed headlights or taillights legal to use.

Restore Your Headlights or Taillights

Schedule service when a headlight or taillight has failed, become dim, started flickering, or sustained visible damage. Our work includes a 3 Year/36,000 Mile Warranty.

Complimentary shuttle service is available, along with free WiFi and coffee while you wait. Our contact form is also available if you prefer to write to us.

Practical Care for Exterior Lights

Keeping exterior lenses clean helps preserve the light available from functioning lamps. Replacing a failed bulb won’t correct a cloudy lens, damaged housing, or poor electrical connection. If the same problem returns after bulb replacement, the related components need inspection.

Our free Courtesy Inspection includes exterior lights, and photos taken during service let you review their condition. If you approve the work, the final itemized invoice identifies each part and service line.
