You See What We See
Our comprehensive Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) report documents every finding with photos taken during testing. You get a clear, plain-language summary of what was found and what, if anything, is recommended. No work begins until you’ve reviewed the report and given your approval. Every part of the process is built around your confidence, not our convenience.
A warning light tells you something changed. It doesn’t tell you whether that change is minor or urgent. Understanding what triggers dashboard warning lights, what our testing uncovers, and what your options are afterward helps you walk into your appointment informed and leave with confidence.
What Triggers Dashboard Warning Lights
Modern vehicles use an onboard diagnostic system, known as OBD-II, to monitor sensors across the engine, transmission, emissions, and other systems. When a sensor reading crosses a set threshold, the system logs a fault code and triggers a warning light. The same light can be caused by conditions ranging from a loose gas cap to a failing component, and the code alone doesn’t tell the full story.
Professional testing with manufacturer-level equipment goes further than reading a stored fault code. It evaluates the underlying system, identifies intermittent faults that may not trigger a code consistently, and rules out secondary causes. Some issues, including certain misfires or gradual sensor degradation, can affect drivability or fuel economy before a warning light appears at all.
What the Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) Report Contains
After testing is complete, we produce a comprehensive Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) report that outlines every finding and any recommended repairs. The report includes actual photos of your vehicle taken during the inspection, so the findings aren’t abstract. You can see exactly what prompted each recommendation.
The report is delivered in a clear, easy-to-understand format and reviewed with you before anything else happens. A documented report lets you ask informed questions, understand the priority of each finding, and make decisions without feeling rushed.
What Happens After Testing
Once our technicians have walked you through the results in plain language and answered your questions, the next step is entirely yours. No repairs are performed without your explicit approval. Some findings may call for prompt attention while others can be monitored or scheduled for a future visit, and we can help you understand the difference.
When you do authorize repairs, they’re covered by our Nice Difference Warranty: 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs last. That coverage reflects our confidence in the work and gives you peace of mind long after you leave our Forney location.

FAQs
-
Q. "What does a vehicle test do?"
Today’s vehicles are more advanced than ever. They’re essentially computers on wheels, with complex systems controlling everything from performance and safety to comfort and efficiency. When a warning light comes on or something feels off, our testing process takes a deep dive into these systems to identify the real issue, not just a surface-level code. This thorough approach goes far beyond a quick parts-store scan and helps ensure repairs are accurate, effective, and long-lasting.
