What a Tune-Up Covers & When to Schedule One
A Tune-Up at Christian Brothers Automotive Alpharetta Milton includes a complete analysis of spark plugs, brakes, oil and other fluids, lights, tires, filters, and emissions. Spark plugs and filters are among the most commonly replaced items and directly affect fuel combustion efficiency and overall engine performance.
Not sure if your vehicle is due? These are common signals worth paying attention to:
- Noticeable drop in fuel economy
- Rough idling or engine hesitation
- Difficulty starting, especially in cold weather
- Engine misfires
- Dashboard warning lights that have recently appeared
A car maintenance appointment in Alpharetta doesn’t always start with a clear symptom. If your vehicle simply hasn’t been serviced in a while, that’s reason enough to bring it in.
Staying on Top of Your Manufacturer Maintenance Schedule
Vehicle manufacturers publish detailed maintenance schedules specifying service intervals for components like spark plugs, filters, belts, and fluids. Following those intervals can help prevent major failures and may extend the life of your vehicle. Modern vehicles with iridium or platinum spark plugs often go longer between replacements than older copper-plug engines. This makes following the manufacturer’s schedule more reliable than applying a generic mileage rule.
Our technicians use manufacturer-certified diagnostic tools and established relationships with major manufacturers to deliver manufacturer-recommended service. We can offer more choices for factory maintenance than a dealership. On every visit, we check your vehicle’s needs against the manufacturer schedule and flag what’s due so you can stay on top of that schedule without having to track it yourself.
