What to Expect With an Alignment
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
If you're concerned about the tread on your tires, we recommend the “penny test” to check your tread depth. Simply insert a penny into your tire's tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it's time to replace your tires.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need an alignment?
You may need alignment if your car pulls, the steering wheel is off-center, or your tires show uneven wear. We recommend scheduling an inspection so our technicians can check alignment readings and related components, then explain whether alignment or another service is the right next step.
How long does a wheel alignment usually take?
Many alignment appointments can be completed within a few hours, although timing can vary based on your vehicle and what we find. When you schedule, we can provide a general time estimate. You can choose to wait in our lobby or use our complimentary shuttle service.
Do I need alignment after getting new tires?
Alignment is often recommended when new tires are installed, because correct angles help protect your tire investment. During your visit, we can check current readings and tire wear, then let you know if alignment would be beneficial or if your vehicle is already within acceptable ranges.
What if my car still pulls after an alignment?
If your car still pulls after service, there may be additional factors, such as tire condition, road crown, or suspension issues. We encourage you to contact us so we can recheck the vehicle. Our team will review the situation, explain what we find, and discuss next steps with you.
Will you explain alignment results in plain language?
Yes, clear communication is a priority for our team. We review alignment readings, describe what they mean for your vehicle, and discuss recommended services in everyday terms. Our goal is that you feel comfortable asking questions and fully understand decisions about your car’s care.
