Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I schedule a tune-up for my car?
The right interval for a tune-up depends on your vehicle and how you drive. Many newer vehicles rely more on mileage and manufacturer maintenance schedules than the traditional yearly tune-up pattern. Our team can review your owner’s manual and current mileage, then help you decide when a tune-up service makes sense for your situation. If you notice changes like rough idling, hard starts, or decreased fuel economy, it is a good idea to have us take a closer look, even if you are not yet at a scheduled interval.
What happens during a tune-up at your shop?
During a tune-up, we start by listening to your concerns and documenting any symptoms you have noticed. We then perform inspections and tests that focus on engine performance, ignition components, filters, and fluids, along with other related systems as needed. Once we have the results, we sit down with you to explain what we found in plain language. We outline which items are most important for safety and reliability, which are maintenance-based, and which can be monitored for the future. No work is done until you approve the plan that makes the most sense for you.
Can I wait at your shop while my car is serviced?
Yes, you can usually wait at our shop if that works best for you. We provide a welcoming waiting area so you can relax while we care for your vehicle. Depending on the services being performed, some visits are fairly short, and others take longer, especially if additional maintenance is approved during the inspection. If waiting is not convenient, you can ask our team about available shuttle options so you can continue with your day while your vehicle is in our care.
How will I know which maintenance items are really necessary?
We believe you deserve clear, honest information about your car. After our inspection, we explain which items we view as safety-related or urgent, which are maintenance items that help prevent future problems, and which are purely optional. We tie our recommendations to what we see on your vehicle and to manufacturer guidance, and we encourage you to ask questions if anything is not clear. Our goal is to give you the information you need to choose what is right for you rather than pressure you into a decision.
Do your services come with a warranty?
Yes, our services are backed by an industry-leading warranty that reflects the confidence we have in our workmanship. The specific terms can vary by service and part, and our team is happy to review the details with you before or after your visit. This warranty is designed to give you added peace of mind when you invest in maintenance or repairs with us. If you have questions about coverage for a particular service, just let us know, and we will walk through it together.
Can you handle maintenance for different makes and models?
Our ASE-certified technicians work on a wide range of makes and models, from daily drivers to family SUVs and more. We use manufacturer-quality equipment and follow procedures that align with modern vehicle systems. If your car has unique features, our team takes that into account when planning services and inspections. You can call ahead if you would like to confirm details for your specific vehicle, and we will let you know how we can help.
Do I need an appointment for a tune-up, or can I drop in?
We recommend scheduling an appointment for a tune-up so we can set aside the right amount of time for your visit. An appointment helps us manage the day’s workload and reduces the chance that you will experience long waits. In some cases, we may be able to accommodate drop-in visits, especially for quick checks, although availability can change based on how many vehicles are already in the shop. If you call ahead, we can suggest times that fit your schedule and explain what to expect when you arrive.
