What to Expect With Engine Services
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Frequently driving your car with little fuel can harm your engine over time because the gasoline at the bottom of your tank is usually the dirtiest. When this part is used for fuel, you run a higher risk of dirt reaching your fuel line and engine.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my timing belt is due?
The best way is to check your owner’s manual and your service history. Most manufacturers recommend replacement at a specific mileage or time interval. If you are unsure, we can inspect your vehicle, review its records, and let you know whether timing belt service should be scheduled soon.
Is it safe to keep driving with engine noise?
Driving with a new engine noise is rarely a good idea. Some sounds may be minor, but others can point to problems that worsen quickly. We recommend having the car inspected as soon as you can so we can identify the cause and help you avoid additional damage or a breakdown.
Will you tell me if my car is not worth a head gasket repair?
Yes, we are always honest about whether a major repair makes sense. We look at mileage, overall condition, and what you want from the vehicle. If we feel head gasket work is not a wise investment, we explain why and discuss other options with you.
How long does engine replacement usually take?
Engine replacement time varies based on the vehicle, parts availability, and the amount of related work needed. Many jobs take several days rather than hours. When we review your estimate, we provide a timeline range and keep you updated so you can plan around the repair.
What kind of warranty do you offer on engine work?
We back our engine repairs and replacement with an industry-leading warranty on covered work. Specific terms can vary by service, so we review warranty details with you before you approve the job. This coverage is one way we work to give you added confidence in the repairs we perform.
