Step 2: Digital Vehicle Inspection
Every visit includes a complimentary Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) with photos of the components we examine. The full report goes straight to your smartphone. You can review each finding, approve or decline any recommended service, and ask questions before we touch anything. Prefer to talk it through? We’re available by phone as well.
Step 3: Approved Repairs, Backed by Warranty
Once you’ve approved the work, our technicians complete the repairs using manufacturer-quality parts. Every completed repair is backed by our 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, honored at any Christian Brothers Automotive location nationwide.

2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.

Not every check engine light signals the same level of urgency. A steady light means the system has detected a problem that warrants attention soon. A flashing light is a different situation entirely.
A flashing malfunction indicator lamp typically points to an active engine misfire, where unburned fuel can reach and damage the catalytic converter. Check Engine Light & South Carolina Vehicle Inspections
South Carolina eliminated its mandatory safety inspection program in 1995. The state doesn’t require annual safety or emissions inspections for private passenger vehicles, so a check engine light won’t cause you to fail a state test.
