Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Know If My Car Needs a Tune-Up?
Common signs include reduced gas mileage, irregular engine performance, hard starts, or warning lights that won’t clear. Even subtler changes, like strange noises or increased vibrations through the steering wheel or pedals, may signal something worth checking.
Our team can assess those symptoms and give you an honest answer about what’s actually necessary. When you’re unsure, a maintenance checkup can be the safer call and can help prevent larger repairs down the road.
Will Your Team Let Me Know If Additional Repairs Are Needed During My Tune-Up?
Yes. After our inspection, we explain all findings and outline only the steps we consider necessary. Nothing proceeds beyond your original request without a conversation first. You control every service decision. You can review our Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) report and approve or decline recommendations directly from your smartphone, or call us to talk it through.
What’s Included in a Tune-Up?
Our Tune-Up includes a complete analysis of the components that help your car run including Spark plugs, Brakes, Oil and other fluids, Lights, Tires, Filters, and Emissions. Every visit also includes a complimentary Digital Vehicle Inspection, which provides photographic documentation of your vehicle’s condition so you can see exactly what we find. We run scan tool diagnostics to identify issues not visible during a standard visual inspection and cross-reference your manufacturer’s maintenance schedule to confirm service intervals are on track. All parts and fluids meet or exceed manufacturer recommendations.
How Long Does a Tune-Up Usually Take?
Most Tune-Ups are completed in a few hours, though timing varies depending on your vehicle, the services requested, and current shop schedules. We offer flexible appointments and keep you updated on progress from start to finish.
Do You Use Parts & Fluids That Meet Manufacturer Standards?
Yes. We use parts and fluids that meet or exceed your manufacturer’s recommendations, and all work is backed by our 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, honored at any Christian Brothers Automotive location nationwide. If you have a preference for a specific brand or product, let us know and we’ll go over your options. We also work with all major extended warranty providers, so your existing coverage stays intact.
Why Should I Trust Your Team with My Car’s Maintenance?
Our ASE-certified technicians bring precision to every Tune-Up, and our on-site owner/operators provide the personal accountability you don’t always find at a chain shop. We prioritize transparency and honest communication, and all work is backed by a warranty honored anywhere in the country. Drivers come back to Christian Brothers Automotive Broadview Heights because they know they’ll get a straight answer and durable work.
