More about Your Transmission

Transmission Repair and Rebuild

We have the knowledge and experience to handle a wide range of transmission repairs, from minor adjustments to complete rebuilds. Trust us to get your transmission back in optimal condition.

Transmission Fluid Exchange

Regularly changing your vehicle's transmission fluid is crucial for maintaining its performance and longevity. Over time, transmission fluid can become contaminated with debris and lose its ability to lubricate and cool the transmission system. Our technicians will flush out the old fluid and replace it with fresh, clean fluid, ensuring that your transmission operates at its best.

Transmission Maintenance

Preventative maintenance is key to extending the life of your vehicle's transmission. Our team can perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, inspecting seals and gaskets, and adjusting the clutch if necessary. By staying on top of these maintenance items, you can avoid costly transmission repairs down the road.

Transmission Replacement

In some cases, a transmission may be beyond repair and require replacement. Our team can help you navigate this process by providing expert guidance and offering high-quality replacement options. We'll work with you to find the best solution for your vehicle and budget, ensuring that you're back on the road with a reliable transmission.

FAQs

  • Q. "What factors determine the price of transmission repair?"
Many different factors go into determining costs of transmission repair. The major factor is what type of vehicle you drive. The year, make and model of the car, determine how much parts and labor will cost. Another factor is how much damage the transmission has sustained. Your transmission should last a minimum of 100,000 miles by servicing your transmission on a regular basis.
  • Q. "What does automatic transmission service include?"
Fluid is first drained from the pan during an automatic transmission service. A new transmission filter is installed with a new pan gasket once the pan has been removed. Finally, fresh automatic transmission fluid (ATF) is used to refill the vehicle.
  • Q. "Is there a difference between a transmission fluid change and flush?"
During a transmission fluid and filter change, it’s only the fluid in the pan that is drained and replaced with new ATF. Four to five quarts of fluid will typically be replaced in this process, while nine to thirteen quarts are replaced during a full transmission fluid flush. The difference in amounts is because the complete flush drains the entire system.
