Helping the Christian Women’s Job Corp of Arlington

Our National Service Day was held in October this year. We partnered with The Christian Women’s Job Corp of Arlington to help 15 ladies with their vehicles. The CWJC is a career-training program for women looking for a new start in their lives. We helped women that are currently enrolled in the program and some that have just graduated.

Oil Changes and Other Repairs at No Cost

Our staff at Christian Brothers Automotive Green Oaks provided free oil changes and courtesy inspections for all of these ladies. We also gave two women much needed, bigger repairs they couldn’t afford on their own.

The women from CWJC were so thankful for our help. One lady expressed, “You don’t know how much I really needed this.” Another woman even offered to bring our staff lunch one day!

They were very touched to know that the entire staff was volunteering their time; it wasn’t just a gift from the owners, but from the staff as well. We also served coffee, donuts and breakfast burritos. It was just like a hometown gathering, with the whole community coming together.
