What to Expect With Engine Services
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
Frequently driving your car with little fuel can harm your engine over time because the gasoline at the bottom of your tank is usually the dirtiest. When this part is used for fuel, you run a higher risk of dirt reaching your fuel line and engine.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I replace my timing belt?
The interval is set by your manufacturer, typically every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. This is one of the most important preventative services you can do. A failed belt can cause catastrophic engine damage, turning a routine service into a multi-thousand-dollar repair.
How can I increase the longevity of my engine in Colorado?
Regular oil & filter changes are the #1 way to protect your engine. Additionally, paying close attention to your cooling system is critical in our climate. Proactive coolant flushes and hose inspections are a low-cost way to prevent overheating, which is a primary cause of major engine damage.
What should I do if my check engine light comes on?
Don’t ignore it. A check engine light is an early warning. It could be a minor issue like a loose gas cap or a faulty sensor, that is hurting your fuel economy. A quick diagnostic test can save you money at the pump and prevent a small problem from becoming a big one.
What causes excessive oil consumption?
Excessive oil use can be a sign of worn piston rings, degrading gaskets, or an oil leak. Our technicians can perform a thorough assessment to find the cause, helping you prevent long-term damage and save money on top-offs.
