- Bring Us Your Vehicle: Tell us what you’ve noticed, such as difficult starting, unusual sounds, exhaust smoke, warning lights, or reduced performance.
- Review the Diagnostic Findings: Our technicians perform computer-assisted diagnostics and explain the identified problem in clear, non-technical terms.
- Authorize the Work: You decide whether to approve the proposed service. Nothing begins without your consent.
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Whether scheduling online or over the phone be sure and let us know what you're experiencing so we can provide fast and accurate service advice.
2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.

Signs Your Diesel Vehicle Needs Professional Attention
Hard starting, unusual engine noises, excessive exhaust smoke, and declining fuel efficiency can point to trouble within a diesel system. Fuel injectors, turbochargers, glow plugs, and emissions components all influence how the engine starts and performs. A professional evaluation can identify the source of the problem before you authorize service.
How Common Diesel Engine Systems Affect Performance
Computer-assisted testing allows our technicians to evaluate several interconnected systems before recommending maintenance or repairs.
Fuel Injectors & Filters
Fuel injectors deliver a controlled spray of diesel into the combustion chamber. Deposits or wear can disrupt that spray, reducing efficiency or affecting performance. A clogged fuel filter can also make the fuel pump work harder and contribute to premature wear.
Turbochargers
A turbocharger uses exhaust flow to force more air into the engine, increasing available power. Boost leaks, worn bearings, and other turbocharger problems can lead to reduced power and lower fuel efficiency.
Diesel Emissions Components
The diesel particulate filter (DPF) captures soot from the exhaust. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) routes some exhaust back through the engine, while the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system helps control certain emissions. Problems with any of these components can trigger warning lights or reduce vehicle performance.
Glow Plugs & Cold Starting
Glow plugs generate the heat a diesel engine needs during startup. A failing glow plug can make the engine difficult to start, particularly in cold Fort Collins weather.
Preventive Diesel Maintenance
