2. Diagnostics and Inspections
Drop off your vehicle and the shop will get to work with inspections and diagnostics using the same equipment as the manufacturers to determine issues and next steps.
3. Digital Vehicle Inspection Report and Estimate
Following the diagnosis we will text you a digital vehicle inspection report, containing pictures and videos of our findings and recommendations.
4. Review and Approval
A service advisor will reach out to walk you through the findings and recommendations to determine how you would like to proceed, or you can approve work directly in your DVI.
5. Work Performed or Scheduled
Most work can be completed immediately, or scheduled based on parts and customer availability.
If you're concerned about the tread on your tires, we recommend the “penny test” to check your tread depth. Simply insert a penny into your tire's tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it's time to replace your tires.
Signs You Need Car Alignment
Proper car alignment is crucial for maintaining the overall health and performance of your vehicle. Misaligned wheels can cause excessive tire wear, poor handling, and reduced fuel efficiency. At Christian Brothers Automotive Bryan, we offer comprehensive car alignment services to ensure that your vehicle is running at its best.
If you live in Bryan and notice that your steering wheel is off-center or your car drifts when driving down Earl Rudder Freeway, it might be time to schedule a car alignment in Bryan. Our ASE-certified technicians will inspect all key components involved in the alignment process and walk you through any concerns we find, helping you understand how these issues could affect your daily driving comfort and tire longevity.
There are several signs indicating your vehicle may need car alignment in Bryan:
- Uneven tire wear makes tires wear out more quickly and can affect handling
- The steering pulls to one side even when driving on a straight road
- The steering wheel is off-center when your vehicle is actually driving straight
- Noticeable vibration in the steering wheel, which can be a symptom of alignment issues
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my vehicle needs a wheel alignment?
The most common signs are your vehicle pulling to one side while driving on straight roads like College Avenue, uneven or rapid tire wear, or a vibrating steering wheel. If your steering wheel is crooked when driving straight, or if you've recently hit a pothole or curb in a construction zone, it is time to schedule an inspection with our alignment shop in Bryan.
What is the difference between a front-end and a 4-wheel alignment?
A front-end alignment adjusts only the front wheels, which is common for some older vehicles or trucks with solid rear axles. A 4-wheel alignment adjusts all four wheels relative to the vehicle's centerline. This comprehensive service is essential for modern vehicles, especially those with independent rear suspensions or AWD, ensuring maximum stability and tire life on Bryan highways.
Is engine replacement a better option than buying a new car?
If your vehicle is generally in good condition but the engine has failed, an engine replacement is often much more cost-effective than purchasing a new vehicle. Our team will perform a detailed assessment to help you weigh the costs and benefits. We install high-quality, reliable engines that meet manufacturer specifications to give your car a second life.
Do I need an appointment for these services?
While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, we recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure the fastest service. Engine assessments and alignment services involve precise diagnostics. Booking ahead allows us to prepare for your vehicle and discuss your transportation needs, such as using our complimentary shuttle service.
Where does your complimentary shuttle service go?
We understand your day doesn't stop when your car is in the shop. Our complimentary shuttle can take you to work, home, or school within the local area, including drops near Texas A&M University, downtown Bryan, and into College Station. We aim to make your service experience as convenient as possible. You can check with our team all the details for our area coverage.
