What does winterizing my car mean?

Why do I need to winterize my car?
When your car isn’t set for winter any number of problems could arise. As an example, flat tires are common due to poor air tire pressure. You may also run into small cracks or chips in your windshield from water freezing and expanding inside the glass.
How do I winterize my car?
Winterizing your car can be done with a few relatively simple steps. To assist with frozen car locks and handles, you can buy glycerin, which can be found at nearly all auto and hardware stores. Store a tube in multiple locations (garage at home, in your desk at work, etc). It won’t help much if it’s hanging out in the glove box of your frozen car!
